Assma ul Husna

Assma ul Husna is a miniature artist based in Peshawar, Pakistan. Her art practice is deeply rooted in her photographic memory, which she often revisits for seeking inspirations for her visuals. Husna's work has evolved from self-portraits to landscapes of nature, its flora and fauna as metaphors. She works with the idea of self-representation without using herself as the main subject. In her visuals, she explores the themes of resilience, adaptation and survival in nature that is then translated in her paintings by using gouache and natural pigments on Wasli as her main medium. Husna recently graduated from the National college of Arts, Lahore in 2025. And her artworks have been a part of numerous art exhibits in renowned art galleries of Pakistan that include, Dastaangoi Gallery Islamabad, Alliance Française D’Islamabad, Alliance Française D’Lahore, O Art Space, Tagheer Lahore, Al Hamra Arts Council, and others.
