AMINA RASOOL

As a calligraphy artist, I am deeply inspired by the power of gratitude and its ability to enrich our lives. My artwork represents gratitude as a timeless and universal expression of appreciation, reflecting the beauty and harmony that it brings to our existence. Through the delicate strokes of my brush, I strive to capture the essence of gratitude. Each Ayat is carefully painted, and serves as a visual reminder to cherish the present moment. My artistic practice is rooted in connecting the heart and mind. By layering many compositions, I was able to generate rhythm. I have used various fonts such as Khat e dewani, Naskh, Shakista, and Muala. In my paintings, I’ve utilized bright and dark colors to create contrast as well as the colors green, blue, and white to express appreciation. To control my composition, I have used lettering. By overlapping, I have created a rhythm in my work. Through the interplay of spaces, and colors, I have created strong compositions in my paintings. With each piece I create, I aspire to ignite a spark within others, reminding them of the transformative power of gratitude. In an increasingly fast-paced and chaotic world, I believe that gratitude is a guiding light to find peace and harmony. As a calligrapher, I am honored to share my artwork as a reminder to pause, breathe, and express gratitude for the countless blessings that enrich our lives.
